Access and equity means the policies and approaches that ensure that vocational education and training is responsive to the diverse needs of all students. Through the implementation of these policies and approaches, the benefits of participating in vocational education and training are available to everyone on an equitable basis. Easternview Education Centre is committed to the principle of access and equity in vocational education and training and to giving practical expression to the goal of improving the knowledge, skills, and quality of life for all students. In keeping with this commitment, we will strive to ensure that programs and services are relevant, accessible, fair and inclusive.
Although Easternview Education Centre does not
primarily provide services to children there may be an occasion where
students are under the age of eighteen and thus are subject to the
legislation. No person under the age of 18 can participate in the clinic sessions
that form part of the course (in Client Care). All of our trainers and staff are screened as per the
relevant Child Protection legislation.
Easternview Education Centre has
a formal Child Protection Program.

Easternview Education Centre will provide sufficient and

costs/fees to students and the objectives, assessment procedures and competency
standards and outcomes to be achieved by students.
Trainers will conduct pre-enrolment interviews to ensure the suitability
of students to achieve course competency outcomes.

Easternview Education Centre will safeguard fees paid by
students and participants by providing receipts and by detailing all fees and
charges prior to the commencement of the course. Payment for each module must be
made at least one week prior to commencement of the module. A deposit can be
paid at the time of enrolment. Any special payment arrangements must be agreed
at the time of enrolment. Enrolment fees may be paid by mail or by telephone. Cash, cheque, money order or
major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa) are acceptable. Student enrolment is not
confirmed until fees are paid (end of course results and certificates can only
be issued once all relevant course fees have been finalised).

Easternview Education Centre supports language, literacy and numeracy (LLN)
in the development and delivery of training and assessment services.
Where Easternview Education Centre identifies a student that requires more
LLN support that we are able to provide, that student will be referred
to one of the government programs designed to address the particular LLN
skill. Every effort will be made to identify these needs prior to course
commencement.
